Q & A
During the healing and recovery process, sleep health, stress management and nutrition can have a significant impact on pain, inflammation, and metabolism. It is paramount that these pillars are addressed and incorporated into orthopedic musculoskeletal care. The aim of this course is to address a more comprehensive model of patient care to improve outcomes and function. Incorporation of a lifestyle medicine model within the patient’s plan of care can address these additional factors to positively influence outcomes. Discussion surrounding case examples for successful goal setting, effective treatment strategies, and best practices for referrals to appropriate healthcare providers will be presented.
