Hip pain is a common reason athletes miss practices, training and competition, and often seek out physical therapy. This webinar will focus on the management of hip pathologies and rehabilitation of the athlete. It will discuss the current evidence-based examination and treatment of hip pathologies in the athlete. A combination of lecture and discussions in this webinar will foster clinical reasoning and decision making in daily clinical practice. Manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, movement re-training, motor control skills, patient education and return to sport training will be discussed during each phase of the rehabilitation process. Physical therapists are equipped with the knowledge, manual skills, and movement expertise to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to improve quality of life and outcomes for the athlete.
