Description

People struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and more routinely come to health care providers with pain, fatigue, brain fog, and a host of neurological, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal issues. This course provides learners with an understanding of the integrated biopsychosocial model for overall health and wellbeing. It examines the problem of behavioral health conditions in America, and it begins to explore how those conditions impact the progress of patients who seek help for physical health-related conditions.

Course Change Policy

COURSE CHANGE OPTIONS

Any requests falling outside the timeframe stated in this policy do not qualify for a refund.

ALL COURSE TYPES:

Transfer Option-Any Course Type: You may transfer your enrollment to another learner as long as the course you are transferring has not been previously rescheduled and at least 7 days remain before the course start date. If you choose this option, any exchange of funds is between you and the other learner; EIM will not refund or attempt to collect a new payment from the new learner. If your employer paid for the original course, you may only transfer to someone who also works for your employer and must use the work email domain. Courses may only be transferred once and are not eligible for reschedule or cancellation after the transfer has occurred.

ONLINE COURSE

You may be refunded for an online course if the following conditions are met: You submit a request within 1 week of course purchase AND you have not yet logged on to view the course in Canvas. If you have already logged on to view the course in Canvas OR wish to place a request greater than 1 week after purchase, EIM will allow a one time reschedule of that coursework into any other course at no charge, provided the request is received within 30 days of course purchase. Courses that have previously been rescheduled may not be rescheduled or refunded. After 30 days, online coursework is no longer eligible to be changed.

*Please note that many credit card companies have an additional 3-5 business day processing time for the refund to reflect on your credit card statement.

WHEN EIM CANCELS A COURSE
EIM does our best to avoid course cancellation. However, if EIM must cancel a course due to some unforeseen or unavoidable circumstance, we will contact you at the primary email address and phone number you provided at the time of registration. You will be able to select a full refund or full letter of credit to transfer to a new course date within 12 months of the date of the original course. If a course in progress is interrupted by unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances, participants will receive credit to take the remainder of the course a later date.  All other expenses such as airfare and hotel accommodations will not be reimbursed by EIM.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
The number of contact hours that may be applied toward continuing education (CE) credits are determined on a course-by-course basis. Courses eligible for CEU/CCU credit for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants are approved by the Texas Physical Therapy Association for online courses and courses held in Texas. The assignment of Texas PT CCUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by TPTA or TBPTE. In addition, CE approval for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants is sought and pre-approved in the state where onsite courses are being held if pre-approval is required. EIM is also an AOTA accredited provider, and some courses are approved for CEUs for occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants. AOTA does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA. Before learners receive a course certificate and an award of CE credit, they must successfully complete all course content and demonstrate learning with a minimum of a “C” on a post course quiz as well as complete a course survey.

Some courses may not be eligible for CE credit. If you have questions pertaining to your individual state requirements, please refer to your state’s licensing authority.  We are happy to provide each registrant with documentation needed to submit for approval to their own licensing board for individual approval. Requests can be submitted to info@eimpt.com.

PROGRAMS
EIM recognizes that conditions can occur that may necessitate a withdrawal from the Program. EIM will calculate and provide a refund of a portion of the payment on a per credit hour basis for students who must withdraw. The actual refund amount (if any) will equal the total dollar amount of tuition payments made to EIM that exceed the dollar value of the total per credit hour tuition amount for course(s) completed. The total per credit hour tuition amount includes the tuition of course(s) partially completed. EIM’s decision to refund assumes that the student or Partner requesting a refund is current on all outstanding payments. Refunds on fees such as participant’s application fees, programming fees, and materials fees will not be provided.
